Acts of Compassion Have the Power to Change the Lives of Families
Volunteers play an essential role in helping families experiencing homelessness attain sustainable independence.
Help us develop our affiliate so we can house homeless families in the MidCoast
Family Promise of MidCoast Maine is planning a number of community awareness and fundraising activities for the fall in partnership with other local organizations serving youth and families at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness.
We need volunteers to sit at restaurants for two hours during our fundraisers and pass out information to restaurant patrons. We will also recruit volunteers to help prepare and serve a family-friendly meal. Cooks, servers, cleanup volunteers, and publicity will all be needed.
Do you have skills that might help us at this stage of our organizational development? Let us know by filling out the form on this page!
“Each time we make room for strangers, we chip away at the fear and isolation and heartbreak in our world. We also get to participate in something that is life giving, both to us and the people we welcome.”
